dog breed maltese

i'm nancy frensley, i'm the training managerat the berkeley east bay human society in berkeley, california. and apparently the questionof the day is how to rescue a maltese dog. well, maltese are small, white toy dogs. thebreed maltese just, they're very cute, they're very cuddly. they have a lot of grooming needs.they have very very long white hair and they're the dogs you'll see very often that you know,have a barrette up there at the top of their head to keep their hair off their eyes. andthey're very sweet dogs. most of the time they're rescued by breed organizations. maltesebreed clubs who have put together a rescue effort, they get them out of humane societyshelters and municipal facilities and put them in to foster homes. so rescuing malteseis actually pretty much the same as adopting

one. so if you really want to rescue a maltese,look them up on line. look up maltese rescue organizations, apply to adopt and adopt one.and every time you adopt a maltese from a breed organization that leaves room for themgo get another one out of a pound or a shelter. thank you.
