most people think dogs see in black and white, but it's not true. dogs can see colors too. just not the same colors that we do. human color vision is based on three differentcolor receptors that are each most sensitive to red green and blue. but dog color visiononly has two color receptors; green and blue. this color blindness to red causes dogs tomiss out on many of the colors that we enjoy, including orange and yellow. but do not feel bad for dogs, they have betternight time vision due to the high reflectivity of their eye's retina.
